Quorum is pleased to be a confirmed supplier on the latest iteration of the UK Government G-Cloud Framework for the 2nd year. G-Cloud 12, managed by the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) went live on September 28th, 2020. The G-Cloud framework is an initiative which the Government began in 2012 to provide UK public sector organisations with a centralised procurement framework for the provision of cloud products and services.
Remote working is nothing new, and neither is the use of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) to facilitate it. What is new, however, is the unprecedentedly wholesale transition to homeworking brought on by the outbreak of a global pandemic. Thankfully, the technology is most certainly there to allow such a rapid change of tack. In particular – Windows Virtual Desktop (or WVD).
