We are thrilled to announce that Quorum will be represented at SQLBits 2024 with not one, but two knowledgeable and entertaining speakers from our Data team – Robert French and Olivia Wise.

They’ll be talking REPORTS. Sounds boring? We promise they won’t be! Our resident Power BI enthusiasts will explore the complexities of how the human brain processes information and how you can use this information for a variety of uses. Robert will also be giving a talk on how to be awesome and getting your next job!

SQLBits

SQLBits was formed in 2007 by a group of individuals who were passionate about the SQL Server product suite and wanted to provide much-needed education for data professionals.

The Sessions

In their talk, “Make my report pop – using psychology, physiology, and design to create dazzling reports” Robert and Olivia challenge the conventional perception of reports as dry and uninspiring. By delving into the intricacies of how the human brain processes information and responds to colours and designs, the session explores the fusion of psychology, brain physiology, colour theory, and design principles.
