Customer Identity in the Digital Transformation age.

With the already enforceable European-wide Second Payment Services Directive (PSD2) and Open Banking regulations in the UK and the soon to be enforceable General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) the need for organisations to manage digital identity for individuals (both internal and external), trusted parties, and trusted objects is pushing the traditional enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems to their limits.

No matter which industry the client is in, one of the biggest challenges facing them is extending their IAM systems to deal with Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM). Customers and internal users have one fundamental difference, customers have a choice. In most cases, customers can choose a different supplier, if they have concerns about security, or the process for security is too overbearing.
