Description:
To address production stability issues with the Exchange server estate it was essential to free up disk space without impacting on the user population. In addition, the project was to ensure users were able to seamlessly access both archived and current e-mail with as little disruption and user training as possible.Symantec's Enterprise Vault for Exchange was the technology chosen to provide the archive solution and its integration with the Microsoft Outlook client meant it was easy to deliver to users within budget and on time.
The infrastructure was also designed to assist with the migration of mailbox stores onto new systems by reducing their overall size without compromising on access requirements to older e-mail items.
